At HEIS Global, we want our ecological and sustainable product to be adopted by more nutritional and pharmaceutical companies that want to reach out to the younger generations. Young people who are increasingly aware of the need to save the planet.
In order to understand the values and requirements of the end customers of pharmaceutical and nutritional companies and with this information to better help our customers, we have conducted a series of anonymous interviews. We have included one of them in this article, which we found very illustrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 What nutritional supplements do you take?
<\/strong>A few years ago, I had heart problems. Since then, I have been taking Omega 3 supplements to help me keep my cholesterol at healthy levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 Are you interested to know where they come from?
<\/strong>Of course, after using a white label for a while, I found a company on the internet that produced the algae-based supplement. What’s more, it had more benefits, so I instantly switched to the new brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 Are you concerned about the raw materials in the packaging?
<\/strong>I don’t know much about it, but whenever I have an alternative in recycled material, I always give it priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 Do you notice any difference between these three materials? (PET, R-PET, PLA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


<\/strong>*This question was asked while being given samples of PET (100% recyclable), RPET (100% recycled) and PLA (100% Compostable and Biodegradable) packaging.<\/em>*
Hmmm\u2026 Not really. The hardness and weight is similar in all three bottles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 The first one is made of PET, one of the conventional plastics. The second one is made of R-PET, recycled PET. And the third one is made of PLA, an organic and compostable material.
<\/strong>Can you tell me a little bit about the advantages of compostable packaging?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981<\/strong> Yes, of course. It means that if we put it in the compost bin (brown), in less than 6 months the bottle will turn into compost and can be used as plant food. This would close a circular process in which we make packaging from plants and at the end of their life they become food for other plants. What do you think of this?<\/strong>
Wow, I didn’t know you could make plastic from plants\u2026 I can’t tell the difference, if you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have noticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2981 Would you prefer to buy a similar product to the one you consume, but with more environmentally friendly packaging?
<\/strong>Of course I would. Now that I know about PLA and have touched it, I don’t understand why more companies don’t use it. If I found an organic product with this packaging, it would always be my first choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
